DELETE. I'm going to rephrase this question and repost so hopefully I can get some help.
I've been thinking about vaulting and insulating my ceiling for a while now but hopefully getting closer to being able to make it a reality. I've done a decent amount of research but I'm not a construction pro so be easy on me and forgive me if I need some help with the lingo...
I had planned on just doing a hot roof with spray foam to keep things simple but some higher costs came up for some of my other plans and I'm looking for areas to save $. I'm hoping I can do that by doing fiberglass insulation instead of spray foam. My issue is how to get it vented properly since it's essentially a vaulted ceiling situation. If this is possible I should be able to save >$1000 to put towards the rest of my project.
I drew up a quick outline of what I'm thinking and wanted to run it by y'all to see if I'm on track or off base.
Thanks in advance!

- Located in California so my main concern is heat, not cold. We have no snow to worry about here.
- This is a detached 17'x19' garage which was built in 1942. Standard gable roof. Zero overhang on the gable sides, very small (~10") eaves with no built in soffits. Stucco walls. No ceiling is currently framed and there is zero venting installed anywhere.
Thanks in advance!
