Wife picked out the color of the epoxy and the chips...I spent hours cleaning the floor and prepping it for the epoxy. Floor is finally done...looks good. One problem, wife says she doesn't like the color. I can be right...or I can be happy...I haven't yet put a top coat on the floor or parked a vehicle on it. Can I add another coat of epoxy (different color) to whats already down? I thought it might be done by scraping the paint chips smooth, sanding the surface to rough it up and applying another coat of epoxy (different color). Any suggestions? After this, if she doesn't like the floor...she may be under it.

Tell her not to worry about the color, and to get back in the kitchen!

j/k.. well I think you might be able to just go right over the top of it as is. Some products want two coats anyways.. just usually not with flakes in the middle, but if you think about it, most have flakes inbetween the base and clear anyways

Change the bulbs lighter or darker as this will have an impact on color.

Put a coat of urethane, broadcast heavy flake of a color she does like, then finish with another coat of urethane. Cheaper, faster and happier.

Most urethanes cost more than most epoxies, and they go on thinner, add in the cost of a lot of flakes and I think the additional coat of epoxy will be cheaper by a good margin. But that depends, of course, on the pricing of the specific coatings, so YMMV.
