Hi everyone,

My hand-me-down Craftsman 15gal compressor finally died. I'm surely no compressor export so after a Google search, I wound up here. And, wow, you guys really know your stuff. If you don't, you sure sound like you do at any rate! :D

I think I found a decent enough deal on CL. It's a Campbell Hausfeld 30gal upright, 5.1cfm @ 90psi, 5.5hp motor (which I'm sure is a diaphragm). See, I thought diaphragms were something else entirely (Mom, what's this thing in your purse? That was a horrible day. Shudder.) I looked around the web and haven't see another that looks like it (blue tank, red motor cover) so I wonder how old the thing is?

Anyway, the seller says it's in excellent condition (don't they always) and is selling because he upgraded to a bigger unit.

He's sitting at $180. You think that's fair?

is it a 120V model or 220V? I have a 120V 20 gallon horizontal that is about 25-30 years old but in great shape that I paid $150 for....I thought that was fair based on what other people are getting for used compressors in my area.
