Another compressor wiring question

The motor data label lists HP as SPL. If you are seeing 5HP on a tank label, that doesn't matter.

SPL just means it a special purpose motor for that use. It's a way the motor manufacturer gets around actually stating a real HP, so the compressor manufacturer can say some inflated unrealistic HP.
