I was in Columbus the other day, and decided to check out the new Ikea and see what all the hype was about. It's a pretty nifty store with surprisingly reasonable prices. Anyway, I saw these small metal drawer units. They look and feel just like a set of SteelMaster file cabinets that I had a while back. Granted, they wouldn't be for heavy items, but they would be great for lighter stuff. They are available in several colors, red being one of them. I figure for $40, that seems to be a hell of a deal. I have sold some beat-up cabinets for more than that, lol.

That's one thing I didn't check. I just pulled the top drawer about half-way out and thought "this seems just like those file-card cabinets that everybody wants". So I shared, lol.

They're full extension but not like you're thinking. There are no slides on the sides. Not a bad deal though. I picked one up and have it beside my drill press with the associated tooling. Not real heavy duty but heavy enough for my use.

Great post. I think I'll pick one of those up for all my equipment manuals and other "garage" related paperwork.
