Just purchased Redford system (redfordcorporation.com). Primarly used for airplane hangers but I could not pass on the price. I purchased enough to do at least 1200 ft and it cost me $40.00. Got the epoxy primer, soild epoxy build coating and the linear urethane top coat. I hope that it is good stuff.

Got the product home and I have:

4 gallons epoxy primer
9 gallons of 100% solids epoxy
3 gallons urethane top coat

I believe I got my $$$ worth.

Hidollar, that is an excellent deal! I wish I had known about these products before doing my floor. Please keep us posted how the floor unfolds.

Good luck with the move!

No story, it's the real deal. Guy bought the stuff 6 months ago at an auction for $120.00. Seems no one @ auction realized what it was. Never had time to put it down (at parents house) and just wanted it gone.

Sounds like it could be old and past the shelf life.
Better check that out.

We don't make those products for Redford, but one of our friends does. So, we are familiar with thier products. The 100% solids material has a listed shelf life of only 1 year... BUT... As long as the containers are sealed it should last MUCH longer... maybe even 5-10 years! So, I wouldn't worry about that too much. If it is old material... MAKE SURE you stir both components INDIVIDUALLY BEFORE mixing them together.

Also, they have a few different primers that they use... if you got the epoxy emulsion you should store it indoors somewhere where it won't freeze. The urethane should probable be kept from freezing as well. Again, just maker sure that before you use these that you've made sure that nothing is settled on the bottom of the cans.

Thanks wolverine, I thought that would be the case. I have some experience with epoxys but not floor coatings. For the record, I have their E31-1202-64 primer, E31-1202 epoxy coating, and U31-1201 linear urethane. I have them in my basement. They were stored in the previous owners basement as well. My basement stays about 60-65 degrees. I plan to use these next spring.

I have scoured their web site and reviewed the testimonials and project pictures. I assume the application is the same as most systems. Was wondering if I could put down flakes and at what point in the process. ALL the products are tinted light gray including the urethane. Any thoughts??
