Another floor stripping question.

I'm going to lay ceramic tile on a older concrete floor that had VCT tiles on it.

I need to remove the old VCT tile Adhesive. I believe it's this stuff. (Petroleum-based adhesive and in most cases black in color. This is what has become to be known as "cutback adhesive") All the tile is up and the home owner painted over what was left of the adhesive with some Grey floor paint. Just poking it with a dull tool reveals the old adhesive.

I thought about renting a floor grinder. But I think the grinder will get clogged up with the adhesive. I've heard that chemicals are not really a option.

So what is the best way to get it up?

There is a chemical thaat ive used for getting this off before setting tiles.I have to check in the van for the name of it.It is messy but it worked really well and you just clean up with water or they have a cleaning solution as well.
