Just finished up my Racedeck install. I was on the fence about Racedeck, but after visiting the Racedeck booth at SEMA, I was sold. I could see the colors in person, and Crystal was very helpful. The SEMA show discount they offer is outstanding also! I figured if I was going to do it at all, I needed to then to take advantage.

I finalized my order on Monday morning, and received the product the following day! How's that for quick? I had most of it installed by Tuesday evening... pretty much everything but the edges. Here are a couple pictures. It only took about 5 hours total, and that included moving everything and trimming the edges.

I also visited the Swisstrax booth. Very similar product, but almost twice the price (with discount). I had pretty much decided on alloy, but ended up ordering graphite at the last minute after seeing a lot of booths at the show with graphite and thinking it looked nice. After coming home and looking at as many pictures online as I could, I decided to change my order to alloy again. The graphite is nice looking, it's just very dark, and without substantial lighting, it almost looks black.

After getting it installed, I was extremely happy with the look. I am glad I went with the lighter color, and definitely would not want any darker for my garage uses. I did do some tinkering on the FJ40 yesterday, and there were a couple things I was apprehensive about doing on the floor. Mostly pounding on things, etc. It seemed to hold up great to abuse, but will scratch/mar if you are too rough with it (as I expected). I also dropped a small nut and lock washer on the floor. It took about 5 minutes to find it, and once I did, I had to lift that tile to access them.

All in all, I am happy. I love the look, I will just have to put a little bit of extra thought into my projects I do in the garage, but I feel it is worth it.

Thanks for your great customer service Racedeck!

Looks really nice! I was wondering how it would look if you had put 4 of the light colored tiles together to make a large tile and then 4 darker tiles together to make a larger tile. That way instead of 12" by 12" you would have 24" by 24" and I wondered if that would look more "sized right" for the size floor you have. It was just a thought and what you have looks great so it really doesn't matter. I just had the crazy thought that for larger floor sizes "larger tiles" MIGHT look better.

Yes, they are 12's. I wanted 18's, but it would have left me with a lot more waste than the 12's. Thank you!

Your garage came out great and I love your FJ Land Cruiser :thumbup: - Thanks for choosing RaceDeck

Thank you! I kept missing you at your booth, but everyone was really nice there and answered my questions.

Thank you. It actually is alloy. I had ordered graphite, and called back to change it back to alloy. I felt graphite would darken the space, and alloy would lighten it up.

Thank you for your threads, they helped me make my decision to order FF.
