I have been on this site for awhile and have read many threads about insulating a garage, but none have given me the answer I'm looking for.
First my garage is a 30x50x10 pole shed, metal siding and roof. When it was built I had the double bubble foil insulation installed, would not have been my first choice but came included with the kit.
I have installed plywood and sheetrock to the walls, no added insulation, I've been through one complete winter and have had no trouble keeping it warm with a hot blast wood furnace.
The real problem is the HEAT in the summer, so I am wanting to install a metal ceiling and put blown insulation in attic area,will also be installing a vapor barrier above ceiling before its installed. I will be installing a gable vent in one end and a 24" exhaust fan in the other, I have no ridge vent or no way to put in soffit vents since there is no soffit..
My question is will the double bubble insulation that is sandwiched between the rafters and the metal roof cause me any trouble with condensation or anything else...
