Hello fellow addicts, I have a few more pics of my garage to share. I am still gonna put some upper cabinets over the 2 work-benches and I'm thinking shelves along the side walls after I get some gypsum board for the upper part of the walls.

Here is what it's all about.........

I have insulated walls and ceiling, roughed in a 240volt recept in each corner, put up 1/2" OSB all the way around, ran a stereo and speakers and made 2-10ft x 24"long work benches for the back wall.

I have had a wonderful time reading this site and want to thank all who post here

Is the tarp there to keep tire marks off the concrete?

Good looking garage, looks like you've got lot of room in there & those benches look pretty damned stout!
Any outside shots?

The tarp is there because I have a slight oil leak from the car and have not (until now) had a place to get the car up in the air to get under it. I also will eventually coat the floor with something and don't want to bust my a$$ trying to get any stains out.

I do have a bunch of pics from the ground up but got here late in the build......Heres a few

Nice build. That PVC fence is fantastic. What is the ceiling height?

mickeypat, Thanks for the reply. I kinda like the PVC fence too, What makes the fence in my opinion is the retaining wall it is atop of though

I also had it put on my steps to the house which ties it in real well too

Thanks rikbolen, I didn't do the work but I did do the design. The contractor I used had a few weeks between jobs and was willing to provide the labor (at a cost) for whatever I had in mind. I oversaw the project and made the neccessary decisions about any changes to get it done.
The retaining wall and fence came about because my yard slopes from front right to rear left by about 3ft. Lots of work, six weeks from permits to parking my camaro inside............Happy Guy

Well fellow addicts, It has taken me some time to get here (6 more months) but, I have finally gotten around to some more progress. I put up some drywall, a few cabinets and gotten the blacktop driveways done.

A few pics............

I also had them fill and grade the "shoot" between the garage and fence with crushed concrete so my trailer doesn't sink in the sand anymore.
From this.......

I must say it has been a lot of fun here on this site reading about and admiring other garage builds, I hope to be able to continue with finishing inside and moving forward.

Any particular reason you did not continue the asphalt/black-top to the left of the garage and right of the fence (where you put the trailer)?

Just guessing at two possible reasons:

1. Cost - Asphalt is through the roof. Has been for a while and it isn't coming back down anytime soon.
2. A lot of towns have started to limit the amount of allowable impervious cover on residential lots. That's only going to happen more and more after flooding like Minnesota, Chicago, and Ohio have had the last couple of weeks.

Actually it was just more of an after-thought, as it might interfere with the water runoff when it rains. The fence (my neighbors) is the true low spot on my block, The water runs down on both our properties and settles in the back yards. I am afraid that even doing this it will cause the drainage to run completely down the neighbors yard and I might get summoned for altering the 'lay of the land' I think thats a no-no. I wanted to see what happens with it like this and can always get it paved at a later date.
