I found out that an interlock is not made for my specific cutler hammer 200 amp box. So I'll need a transfer switch and a sub panel. Any idea what a ballpark estimate would be in cost between having an electrician install an automatic transfer switch versus manual? What about just the part cost?
Thx

Why not just swap out the Distribution Panel for a newer Square D and purchase the Interlock for that unit? I think a neater job

Get one of these guys (horribly overpriced right now btw-- aim for $200) and it installs downstream of your main box, so you won't need the power co to come pull your meter.
