This is my completed (for now) Gladiator garage with Devoe epoxy floor, rubber base molding and new wall and ceiling paint. Before the project the garage was a complete mess. It tooks many weekends over several months to plan, purchase and install everything. I enjoyed the project very much and am now a little disappointed that I have nothing to do in the garage.

Thanks. I was going for the clean look (walls, ceiling and floor are all the same shade of off-white). The floor does look good for a first time DIY job. I just installed a 60 inch HD Industrial Ceiling Fan as well, but quickly realized that one fan is not enough for a 700 SF garage in Texas.

Gladiator Garage - Silver Finish Coming Off!

Its been a while since I posted photos of my Gladiator garage products, but I wanted to report that although there are many things I like about the products, one thing I definetly do not like is the fragility of the metal finish on the cabinets and shelves. I have noticed that virtually any liquid causes the silver metallic finish to come off, which is rather unsightly. Anyone else expierencing the same thing?

Never had any issues - what liquid are you getting on them?

I have spilled Mr Clean, Gunk, and carb cleaner without effect.

If you are referring to brake fluid, then all bets are off. :)

It seems as though any liquid other than water (and possibly even water itself) is causing the problem. Examples include degreasers, WD40, gasoline and other liquids found in a typical residential garage. The finish is pathetically weak. Even touching the cabinets (if my hands have previously been exposed to such liquids) causes the finish to come off.
