Another Grey Floor

Over the weekend I layed down Coronados 100% epoxy over my 545 square foot garage. First off Thanks to all that post great write ups and give out great advice, Thank You I could not have done it with out you guys. I started out by cleaning the floor with Simple Green then rinsed and rinsed. I then etched with 2 gallons of acid mixied into 2 gallons of water and rinsed and rinsed with the preasure washer. When the floor dry the next day I layed down 6 gallons of grey Coronados 100% epoxy using a notched squeege that i was told would spread the epoxy at 15-20 mils, then I backrolled with a 18inch 3/4 nap roller and finally I broadcast 30 pounds of 1/4 inch chips into the floor. The next day I layed 5 gallons of Coronados clear epoxy On top using the same application method. All I can say is wow The floor looks great it is super dense and still looks wet but its dry enough to walk on nowThe Coronado product is easy to use and mixing it up is simple no measuring to do, just dump the activator into the epoxy pail anf mix. Hear is a few shots during and after the clear is on and dry.

Couple questions
Is the floor slippery when it is wet?
I am not familiar with Coronados, it is a 100% solids?
What is the cost for 545 sq feet?

If you do not mix the last gallon up in full, you can keep parts A and B separate for a couple months of shelf life. I bought a cheap-o Harbor Freight digital scale for measuring out epoxy/fiberglass by weight... makes it very easy to proportion correctly.

Only need a little extra if you get chips/scratches somewhere but it'd be a lot better than buying a whole new kit

Big Chevy, did you fill the concrete cuts with epoxy? Did you do anything special before that? Fill the gaps with something? Did you do a fill of any concrete discrepancies before laying down the epoxy? Looks good. Thanks

Could you expand on this step ? It seems the chips are so linear, and very well done. I picture you tossing these chips like grass seed out of a bucket, obviously that's not the case ! How exactly do you "broadcast" it ?

I like! If I thought for one minute I could get my floor to look like that I'd do it. I think VCT is in my future tho'.

Yes the expansion joints are just full of epoxy, I didnt fill them with anything, they where not that deep to start with, and I had lots of epoxy to use. As far as the chips go It was just like throwing grass seed. I had them in a bucket and just tossed them in the air. And also I think anybody can do their own floor, its not hard just prep and use a good product and have enough of it.

REALLY BEAUTIFUL!!!!! I like how you even did the parts up the walls and on the lip to the raised portion - was that hard to do?

Also, seems like a LOT of product - is that the recommend amount?
