Hello everyone. I have been looking for some information on the 6 inch grinder I just purchased second hand ($60). Based on what i can see it looks like a Baldor? Maybe 623E? I took a few pictures but would like to replace the nameplate (if possible) and just basically know more about it like power and age.
Thank you to anyone who is willing or able to help.

I have the 7" model, not the six, but it sure looks like a Baldor to me, I think you are correct on it being a 623E. Track down a photo (maybe you have) it's identical to yours. There is a 662E also, but it's not as wide.

Thanks for the replies. After finding drawings with measurements and wiring, and more internet searching of pictures, I am satisfied the grinder is a late 80's/early 90's Baldor 623E.

After a tear-down, rebuild, and adornment by a reproduced nameplate and fresh decals produced by @mattblast , the old grinder looks ready for several more decades of service.Baldor 623E Buffer Grinder 1991.jpg
