Yep, another hydra-lift thread.

Although it looks like most of the threads on it are pretty ancient.
I recently acquired this used, ancient lift off marketplace for a whopping $300. I'll need to replace some parts as some are completely missing or not going to work for it (power unit the guy gave me isn't going to work for this thing...)

I don't need help IDing it. Panzitta sales and service in PA responded to my e-mail with a manual that matches it perfectly. It is an old model 27ACF.

I'm fabricating my own upper pulley pins as I think that paying ~$230 EACH is outrageous. The safeties on each arm are the problem now. Again with the $200+ parts, and I need 4 of each.

My main question is this: It doesn't have external teeth on the back side of each arm, so it uses an entirely different safety mechanism. AI thinks it uses a plunge-block style latch since the manual has the release pin below the bottom edge of the arm mounting plate, but I honestly don't see any real evidence of it. Anyone know more about these old things? I would like to get this thing up and usable in the next month or so as I need to replace the clutch and pilot bearing on my car.... I guess 700+ hp and twin disk clutch was too much for the OEM pilot bearing (Yes, yes, I replaced it when I put in the twin disk. Apparently the OEM one isn't very tolerant of the extra heat the twin disks generate)

here's another view. The holes for that are obvious in your pics.
Oh yes, I agree the holes are obvious, but the inside of the hole that the vertical pin goes in has nothing on the inside.
From what I see from the picture and the drawings, the vertical pin goes through the hole and can hit the bottom plate when the arms are lowered. When the arm is all the way down, it pushes the pin up, and releases the arm to allow it to rotate and the long part that sticks out from the pin can slide in the part that is in the arm. The question really is how does that pin lock the arm from rotating? is it geared? is it a cone wedge?
I may end up having to buy one of each part to be able to see how it works. If someone had a photo/video of how it works, I could probably work from that.
