You have no clue!! More Oriental, Indian, and African American's in that area then you could imagine. Nothing like it was in the '80's or 90's.
Howell is built up now and has lost it's "small town" image. The old families are not as into things as they once were. With the build up of the town came jobs, and alot of professional level jobs.
Back in the day Fords and Chevy's were everywhere. Now you see a large number of very expensive cars in the area, often driven by someone who is not a "Nazi" and couldn't be as they are non-anglo.
Howell got a bad rap in the late 80's (as I understand it) from a "leader" of the k.k.k. Mr. Robert Miles (spelling?) who had a family farm near Howell. Once the media learned of this suddenly the whole area became racist, which couldn't be further from the truth.
