Well I went to a guys house to buy a Skil worm drive that I had seen on CL and his neighbor had this head sitting with a tank on the sidewalk with $10 on a sign.
So I couldn't resist. Don't think I got screwed without a kiss but its missing the copper cooling lines and any electric controls. The drive pulley looks like there has never been a belt on it but the head intake\exhaust ports and transfer between head connections show some rust in threads etc. Its a
242-5N model and came off a series 30 unit.
He gave me the roll of copper tube in the background for another $10bux not sure where to start with it I guess so turned here for a little feedback.

I don't trust the tank that he threw in with it, as there is lots of rust rattling around in it. It's a DeVilbiss with a 1979 date on the tank.
Thinking about popping the heads off to take a peek. :dunno:

Thanks, I just have to determine if I want to try to adapt it to my upright tank of look for another tank.
I pulled the intake head top off and there was a little gunk in there but it ***** when you spin the pulley. I also need to keep my eye out for a 5hp motor. He had a new 3hp motor he wanted $30 for..
