I'm about to start my 2000 sq ft shop addition in about two weeks. I had all my lighting specs done by the lighting professionals that did the facility at my day job that replaced all our MH fixtures. They recommended what is in the pic. 25 4 bulb T8 fixtures with The layout is a little off because my build is actually 40x50X12 pole barn construction with a white metal ceiling and white metal interior walls.. I had done the research and found that I can get all 25 fixtures for $50 each. $50x25= $1250 + $4 each (100) for bulbs $400
$1650 + tax for light fixtures and bulbs......
Then today I stumble upon the threads for these LED fixtures at SAMS CLUB at $30 each and are getting awesome revues from the GJ members. The T8 bulbs and fixtures are tried and true technology that have parts readily available if needed. I understand the cost savings over time with the LEDs. I do not mind forking over the $$$ (within reason) to light this shop well. It will be used for auto repair, metal fabrication, chassis building........... Lighting is VERY important to me which is why I spoke with a pro on what is needed.
Are the LEDs from SAMS CLUB actually a replacement for the T8 4 bulb fixtures (if enough LEDs were used)? This is new construction so its not like its a replacement job. These will all be flush mounted so daisy chaining the lights is a requirement.
Hoping that some folks who have outfitted large shops with these LEDs or T8 fixtures for comparison will chime in and help out with input and final pics.
Thanks
Brandon
