I wrapped up the Legacy SD Epoxy install last night by applying the HD356VOC urethane clear coat. VERY pleased with the outcome, everything was straight forward, and Scotty answered some questions for me along the way to confirm that I was doing it right. This is a ~1,000 sq.ft. addition to my garage and the concrete was poured in early September.

The floor was ground with the Edco single disk grinder with the 30 grit dyma-dots. The grinder that I rented lacked the wraparound dust shroud, so it left a lot on the floor that had to be swept up, but there was essentially none in the air, which was nice. One issue that I did have was with the Xtreme Set 100 to fill hairline cracks and voids. The Pavestone play sand from Home Depot had particles that were a little too big to fit in most of the cracks, so it took a couple attempts to get them filled. That said, the XS100 epoxy filler is great, just don't screw around after you mix it because you have less than 10 minutes to use all that you mix up.

After the prime cured, I spread the SD Epoxy with a squeegee and my wife back rolled it behind me. I initially had a fear that there wouldn't be nearly enough material when I first poured out the thick liquid on the floor, but it kept spreading and spreading as I pushed it around with the squeegee and I ended up having more than enough. I checked it about 12 hours later and it was hard, with no tackiness or give to it. I followed this with the HD356VOC clear, and mixed in the supplied fine non-slip additive as well as some powdered pearl pigment in hopes of giving the solid light gray floor a little shimmer. The effect is subtle and now wish that I had added a bit more of the pearl in. The urethane was completely dry this morning, so I feel that everything is curing per specs.

Here's a picture that I took before leaving for work this morning, but will post some better ones when I get a chance. You can definitely add me to the list of satisfied Legacy Industrial customers.
