Another lift question

Hello. Ive come to the conclusion I need a 2 post lift for my garage which is 24' x 24' with a 10' ceiling. I really don't want a lift with a floor plate. My original plan prior to any measuring was to install a typical Bendpak 2 post lift and have the posts pass through the ceiling and the post connection would take place in the attic. I found I don't have the clearance on one side of the attic. It can't work. The only lift I can find that has a clear floor and can work with a 10' ceiling is the Mohawk A7. The cost is really out of my budget. I also strongly considered the Maxjax. I'm 6'5. The max lift of roughly 4 feet won't allow me to sit on a stool. I can lift my Jeep 62". Thats what I'm really shooting for. Does anyone have any suggestions I might be missing? Worst case, I will either have to bite the bullet and pay for the Mohawk or settle for a floor plate low clearance lift. Probably a Dannmar. Mike.

Now I am biased but I love my A-7. American made, built like a tank, and it will outlast me. However, I was lucky enough to find it used for $1500 last year. I found it on craigslist using "http://www.searchtempest.com/" which allows you to search every CL site there is. If you don't have any luck contact Mohawk and ask them who your vendor is. The vendor may know of some used models coming up for sale.
