I think it depends on the weight of the E350 (will it have tools etc. in it?). A 9000lb lift is rated at a max load of 2250lbs per arm. Easiest thing to do is scale any vehicles that you think might be close. Asymmetrical will place more load on the rear arms so you will max out faster. Symmetrical would be better for the bigger vehicles.

Bill, not sure how you like getting up and down to adjust arms, but for those vehicles and guessing you won't be pulling motors or dropping trans on the FWD a 4 post might be a better option for you.

What have you used at the school and liked?

I do NOT like getting down and up to place the arms. In fact, I let the kids do it at school! But it is FAR better than laying on the ground. And YES, I will be doing a trans swap if I can't do it at school, for the Grand Am (2004 FWD Coupe). We will be rebuilding the original trans at school in the summer.

Don't even have a structure for the lift yet, but will.

We use a combination of lifts at school. The big HD ones are Rotary, and I love them. Forget what the smaller ones are.
