Another lighting question.

So I have fluorescent lights in my shop& I for the most part I hate em.So I'm buying a bunch of those silver brooder clamp lights&I'm gonna use those.I have a bunch of the portable halogen work lights.I was thinking about putting one in each corner about 10 inches or so below the ceiling pointing down towards the floor.
Besides these things putting off a lot of heat&having to make sure there not close to anything that it can catch on fire,Is there another reason not to do this?I also went out tonite&bought every single old style lite bulb that walmart had sonce
therehe not making em anylonger.
I know the newer style bulbs say that there equal too..but there not in my opinion. So once I finally run out of of bulbs what will be the brightest type of replacement bulbs I'll be able to get?Thanks in advance.

Get some ceramic edison bases and boxes, you can get the reflectors you like separately and the bulbs are of course your pick.

I assume you have an unfinished ceiling?

The ceiling has foam boars between the rafters that's about it.
