Another Lighting Question

I recently moved into a home with a 23'W x 20'L garage that is in desperate need for new lighting. I've attached a very basic (but drawn to scale) floorplan and was wondering if my location for lights is accurate (the green rectangles).

I am looking to put in 5, 4', two-bulb, T8, fluorescent fixtures with no reflectors, to the 9' tall, white ceiling. Four of the fixtures will be used to light up the basic footprint of the garage (flush mounted to the ceiling) while the fifth will be over the work bench (by chain). The garage will be used for basic car maintenance and housing projects. Any constructive criticism is needed (or jokes for that matter).

By the way, the red dashed areas are locations on the ceiling with sections removed or the attic stairs. Don't ask me why there are two areas cut out of the ceiling...they were there when I bought the house.

Also, the search option really helped with suggestions but I'd really like to hear your opinion.

I'd personally like to see 2 rows of 3 and then one more above the work area. You should be able to find units with reflectors to direct the light downward more, but the non-reflector types will work too.

In my 27'x40' I have five rows of three 4x4' light fixtures. There are only 2 bulbs in each fixture. I can always add the other two if needed. I got the fixtures free from work when they did some remodeling. There is plenty of light for me. I agree with bmwpower on the light right over the work bench. One row of lights is closer to the wall (far row in picture) so that it will be over the bench/work area I plan on building.

Wow, thanks a lot for all of your help. I'll post some pics once I get the lighting put in. I put in the work bench light today and it makes a world of difference. I have the work bench light on a manual on/off switch as opposed to the light switch. Thanks again for your suggestions.
