I'm a recently retired factory worker with time on my hands and a friend has offered to allow me to repair an old floor jack of his. Most of the plastic label is illegible but I am able to see that it is manufactured in Taiwan by the Lincoln Automotive Company. It is apparently a 2 ton floor-jack and it has Three numbers on the label
G9715 and
1814KC and
431162
It leaks and won't hold a load so I am assuming that a seal kit is my next step.
I contacted the manufacturers help desk at "[email protected]" and they informed me:
"This model has been discontinued around 15 years, we don't have any parts for it. Thanks".
They didn't bother to tell me which number was the model number so I assumed they had issues with people who were not shopping for one of their brand new jacks and decided that further communications with them would probably be frustrating.
I am seeking assistance in finding a seal kit for whatever this thing is.
Any help you can give me is help is greatly appreciated.
