So I get the email about how there's great deals at sears for father's day. I go to the site, and it's all 50% off this and that, so I pick a chest/roller cab combo that looks promising and the free intermediate cabinet offer doesn't come through.

The previous page says the combination is $299.98, but when you click through and add to cart, it's $439.97.

I go back to the page that had the original deal, and click "Shop More Great Deals" and I get Not Found.

Does sears' web department even know how to spell TESTING?!?

Don't worry though, the exclusions link works _perfectly_

Exactly. I totally agree. This quote implies
- We want to buy everything dirt cheap and not pay decent prices for services provided by our own 'qualified americans'
- We are not prepared to pay reasonable prices for the services we ask. This results in outsourcing services to cheaper countries (ie ultimately this is money which is leaving the United states)
- We, ourselves want to be (over)paid for our work as 'qualified americans'. Admit it, everyone thinks they should be paid more than they currently are right? As a result, we would rather be unemployed than to take a lower paying job.

This is a major part of the reason for america's current economic status. We are a nation of overconsumers. Look in your closet. Rather than be happy to own 3 or 4 good quality (and more expensive) american made shirts, pants etc we all would rather own 10-20 cheapo china made pants. And then we complain about the poor quality. Same goes for pretty much every other consumer item in the country. Who owns more china made cutlery, bath towels, televisions, shoes etc than they really need. Same goes for food. Eating out is expensive right? Then employ the illegal immigrant at McBurger Joint and turn a blind eye to his 'illegal' status. Then buy your cheaper burger AND complain that this country is overrun by 'illegals'.

Sorry for the early morning rant. I must have read the financial news first this morning.

But yes... Sears.com is screwed up. But you cant deny, that at least everything on the website is cheap.

IF you really want the deal in question; go to a store and ask for a manager to work it out or call the Sears Customer Service Hotline. They should be able to help!

Maybe it wasn't working earlier, but if you go to the cart it comes out to the correct price. When you first add it to the cart it shows the $439.97, but then when you go to checkout the discounts apply.

Craftsman Club discount applies another $9.56 off as well. Total before tax: $290.42

Weird.
