I have a similar problem to Motown 454. Low pressure in house, but we are on a shallow well not city water. The well and pump are in a well-house about 125' away from house (no grade). I know pipe is galvanized, but it runs under circular driveway in two spots, not keen to dig it up yet. I've thought of putting a pressure booster pump on water line in the basement, and figured if flow isn't sufficient putting a 50-75 gallon plastic cistern in, supplied from well with a pressure switch or float on it, and then supplying booster pump from that. Any thoughts, suggestions?

Also, a lot of good comments on Grundfos booster pumps; any other recommendations?

PS house is two story, one up stairs one downstairs bath, normal clothes washer, dishwasher etc. Three occupants with another on the way :)

What is your pressure and flow at the well house?
What is your pressure and flow in your home?
Your galvanized pipe may have rusted down to a smaller diameter.
