Any update on this? I poured part of my garage yesterday, 640 SQ ft and we ended up with one significant high spot in an 8x6' area 5/8 higher than the lowest spot. This was a DIY job poured within a heated building, but it was -12F outside temperature which caused a dense fog cloud indoors and we couldn't see the laser level. Probably occured because it was the furthest point from both ends for the bull float. You get what you pay for, and in this case it was just the cost of concrete. Reading other posts leads me to believe renting an EDCO or similar grinder would be an exercise in futility.
I think putting the rental costs towards therapy might be my best option.
