Another Mac Tools question

I have a used a blue point that looks identical. They are great for transmission pans, oil pans, stuff you want to get done quick but dont want to over torque. They have a control knob on the bottom you can take it all the way down to about finger tight.
Mac wants about 150? I think the BP is about 150.

I have had this one. I traded it in on a Matco MT1745 Composite body impact. I really prefer the Matco over the MAC. Lighter and more power.

I have a Mac one thats simmilair. It works fine.Just keep in mind that getting a Mac tool repaired is nearly impossible vs the other brands.
thats bs my mac guy all ways takes care of me and ifs its out of warrenty he can normally get it fixed for 50-100 bucks depending on what the airtool needs.

The Astro Pneumatic is cheaply made,threw this same brand die grinder in the scrap pile that was close to dying.

I have the same one; I got it used at the flea market for $5, afaik the mac and the astro are the same. Mine is very loud; it works ok but isn't terribly strong. It is definitely a earlier design; more like the typical generic 1990s and earlier lower quality air impact wrenches. I use it for light duty assembly and dis-assembly work; it isn't bad but I'm sure there are better ones... but I also, don't know how a new one would perform; mine is used. If you want a really good one; there are some newer designs out there... most of the guns currently, on the market; seem to come down to these main gun designs; IR OR CP... or re-badged under many other brands out there...

The AP die grinder went in the scrap pile after my father bought a Matco die grinder.There was no power left in it.Use impact sockets only with the 1/4 impacts.

okay awesome replies. Im just going to be using this impact gun to remove small plastic skid plates like on chrysler 300s, dodge chargers, and challengers etc. And other small stuff. If the Astro gun is the same thing and would hold up to light duty work then screw the mac gun. Thanks for the info guys.
