Found these while cleaning out my dads garage. He has been a woodworker since the 70s. I'd imagine they are some sort of guide for some wood cutting tools, but I have no idea what, and neither does he. Lots of his tools would be craftsman stuff from the 70s and 80s. I thought the black one was a push guide for his old router table, but the pin is throwing me off.

Any guesses?

the black is extremely common, goes on skilsaws to guide your cut to size

With the pin in it I would believe it was actually for a saber saw or jig saw rather than a circular saw - the straight edge down for straight parallel cuts and the pin (with the normal straight edge up rather than down) is for circle cuts. I am not sure about the others.

What is the adjustable pin for in the slot?
Edit- yeah it's got to be for the jigsaw- pin for doing circles. I know he had one, but have not come across it yet.

The bottom one looks like a guide for a table saw. The adjustment is to run it past the blade at an angle.

The top one maybe for some type of an old router?

:dunno:

Beat me to it. I think I had the same guide as OP at one point and I believe it was from a Craftsman jig saw. The straight edge is a fence for straight cuts and the pin is a pivot for circles/curves. I don't know what the other jig is for either.

Maybe some sort of plunge stop for a router? Just a guess.

I think I have both of those, came in a box of misc tools I got at an auction.

At least I know what one of them is used for now.

Found it!

I know he had one of these somewhere. The round end is a cam to clamp the piece to the table.

That last thing, i think I'll just let that mystery be.

Well, if you change your mind and want to know what the last one is, do a search on "Craftsman 9-25173" - it is a piece from their edge guide and contour finger attachment. I went looking a bit after seeing the other items were Craftsman; I thought it reminded me of something from one of their router guides.

Yes! It's a contour finger. Thanks for the tip. I brought the other part home from my last trip.

With my dad giving me his tools he doesn't use and my stepfather passing, currently
I find myself in possession of two routers installed in router tables, and two plunge routers. Once we start cleaning out my in-laws place I imagine I will have an additional router table.

And I don't do any woodworking.

Looks like a good opportunity to start! If you do, you will find having more than one router is a nice thing - one can never have too many routers. Nice to have tools handed down - those are the favorite tools I have.
