Hi!!

just ran across this site a few days ago and thought I'd join in the fun.

I am born & raised in Canton, OH, happily married, one adult son who turns 30 in a few weeks. No, he doesn't still live at home, thx for askin'. In fact, he's been on his own since he graduated college in 4 years. Winning! I work as a finance manager in a large hospital, been here for 29 years, lol. Looking to perhaps retire in the next 2 years, at least from the full-time scene. Wife works for local govt and will have her 30 years in about 18 months from now. :rocker:

Interests: collector cars, car shows, wakeboarding / waterskiing / wakesurfing, etc..., music, playing drums, craft beers, travel, sports (especially Cleveland Browns and NASCAR), camping, music festivals, spending time with family & friends. And beer. Did I mention beer?

Current garage setup: have lived in the same 3BR ranch home in the 'burbs for 27 years, 2.5 car attached unheated garage that is original concrete floored w/painted drywall all the way around. Own a 1968 Mustang Convertible, 289 w/matching #'s, 52K miles, strong #2 condition, amateur restoration, driven only in nice weather, stored at home (see my avatar). I let my wife keep her RAV4 in the other side of the garage. Have a small workshop set up in the extra 0.5 space, but with workbench, generator, snowblower, pressure washer, tools and such, there's not much extra room. Trying to convince the wife that we should relocate south after we retire, but all her family is here so I don't have that in the bag just yet. We both like change of seasons, but hate NE Ohio winters which often run Nov-mid April. Too much downtime with the boat and convertible. The boat, a 23' Correct Craft Air Nautique, is all tricked out for wakeboarding and is too high to fit thru the 7' door so it sits outside during boating season and is stored in a barn nearby during off-season. My Ford F-150 sits outside most of the time. In addition, my father-in-law lives us, and his 1986 El Camino also sits outside all year.

Boarding experience: I've been on a computer all day since the IBM Jr became available and Al Gore invented the internet (thank you, Al!!), been boarding hard on numerous music and band related sites, autogeekonline, Mustang forums, facebook, etc.. avid ebayer too (since 1999). So far I really like this board. People are generally nice, but there's plenty of sarcasm and humor to go around too to keep things interesting. I actually got banned from one Mustang related forum on my first post for starting a thread seeking advice on how to get smegma off the upholstery of the back seat of the Mustang. Glad you all are more laid back and don't have your ******* in a bunch.

My objectives for joining this board: learn as much as I can about garages pole bldgs & mancaves as possible. My current lot size and home configuration prevents me from expnading my garage or adding a pole bldg. so I know we're going be moving at some point. Might as well get a good jump on planning my next garage/workshop!! I hope to one day have a 30 x 50'ish outbuilding set up to work on cars, store the boat, and finish off maybe 20-25% of the space as a guest room / mancave.

This isn't my first thread, lol... Hope you enjoyed my stripper pole thread as well as my garage security thread so far. I'll keep em coming!!
