Greetings. Finally got around to making an intro thread. Been kinda lurking the last couple of weeks while I've been cleaning up my drill press. That's pretty much how I ended up here, I picked up a Craftsman model 100 (if what I've found out so far is correct), and after finding a couple of links to this site, got the bug to clean it up. I've got a good amount done so far, and am waiting for the pin spanner to arrive to remove the chuck. Once I get it all put back together, I'll start a thread for it. I've been trying to get as many pics as I can remember to take while working on it. After I get that project done, it'll be back to work on getting the barn organized for the restoration on my old Chevy.

Well, I didn't want to turn this into the resto thread, but here's a couple of pics.

I'mnot entirely sure I like the gold or not. I tried to match the color off the picture with the cap on the paint. I tried to wire wheel the top of the unit last night, and the paint seemed to want to melt, instead of coming off like it did on the table and base. This weekend, I'll make an electrolysis tank to strip it.
