Hello All,

I've been following the posts on this forum and finally decided to take the plunge and order flooring for my "bike barn". Although there are plenty of coverings out there, I decided to go with racedeck and ordered 420 sq.ft. this afternoon. Simple design - black with red accent border. This will cover the floor of a 13'x29' garage that I use to store my motorcycles (3) in. I plan to place something under the kickstands to keep them from gouging the tiles. Otherwise, I think it will be a huge improvement over the bare cement floor that is there now. I will be sure to post some before/during/after pictures when the little project is done, although it will look pretty plain compared to some of the garages I've seen here!

Mike: there are members that don't own a garage, but you are right there are a few members with amazing garages. if you want to ask questions and have better answers you might want to put your location in your profile. also post up a few pictures of your garage before and after the race deck so you'll know how to. we all like pictures here and if you've been lurking long i bet you like the threads with more pictures too.

cheers and welcome

Thanks! Yes, I will definitely post pictures, although my finished garage will be kind of a letdown from some of the awesome examples I've seen on these pages. Hopefully the materials will arrive in a few days and I can get started. Hardest part is going to be moving all the junk around to clear the floor, but that will be a good time to get rid of a lot of stuff.

Mike: have you had a meal at Nourish across the freeway and up the hill from Costco/Taco time? interesting restaurant and we had our daughter's dog with us and he got to sit next to us at an outside table last summer while we had a great meal. my wife usually always wants to join me for the drive if we go to Sequim, Port Angeles and even Forks because she likes the scenery, people and the food in your area.

start gathering up some old tools and machines for trading material and i'll bring up some to exchange if you like that sort of thing.

cheers and happy to see another Washingtonian join our group.
