June 1970?

What year did Wilton change to the newer style pinned jaws and revised body?

Nick, do you have jaws for these earlier Wilton's as well?

Paul, I think that is a 1970. In 1968 I believe Wilton had that same vise but it did not have the UPC (101033) stamped into it like that. It was just a 9450. That was made when Wilton was changing numbers. They put both 9450 & 101033 on the body. Wilton did have two generations 9450. The early one had 4 1/2W X 3/4" H jaws, then in the early 60's they went to the 1"H jaw, that was a great vise and still is. I would put a 6" fine brass wire wheel on my grinder and gently take the outer layer of dirt and grime off leaving most of the original paint on. This one I sold about 5 years ago.

I was surprised how good the original paint looked under the thick layer of grease...

The only place the paint is really gone is the top of the barrel and the top of the jaws. Was definitely thinking of not stripping/painting this one.
