Hi, I'm Bob.
Like several, I've been lurking around here drooling over some of the shops people have, or finding interesting topics. I started to post some responses where I felt my opinion or experience might add something. I'm near Rocky Mount and work in Raleigh. I'm originally from Oregon, but also lived in CT and most (relatively) recently in Jupiter Fl. My time in the army brought me to Ft. Bragg and decided to stay a while. I'm now a family man with 2 kids, and consequently, now virtually no free time to be in my shop...[emoji53]
We recently built a house and soon after a detached 20x24 garage that is my shop. It's a total mess as I'm trying to figure out how I want to get it organized. I just need to start and let it evolve, otherwise, it'll stay a mess. I'll be getting a few pics up in the gallery section and give everyone something to laugh at...
I see many here are "car guys " with an automotive focus to their shops. I mostly just do maintenance on our cars and my shop is more a woodworking place, such as it is, as well as place for lawn and garden stuff and hopefully I'll have a welder sometime and it'll be a "do most anything" workspace.
Anyhow, that's a little about me.... cheers for now.
