Hi All Im in Iowa and my name is Alan and just turned 42. I have 3 boys (15, 2, 7 months) and a smoking HOT wife 11 years my younger!
Just about to break ground on my new shop/garage/man-castle. (yeah I know snow will be here soon). It will be a 26x30 Dutch-Colonial ("Barn" style) with a full 24x36 loft for a home office (maybe a paint booth). Yes, it will probably be bigger than my house, a standard 1959 Story and a half, which that too is a full remodel under process.
I landed here because I was researching some ideas for the project and loved what I saw. You all look like a bunch of guys i would love to have a glass of milk, er hum, a bottle of beer with. I was also planning on documenting my entire project beginning to end (haha... what end!). After reading a few here I think this will would make a great home for that so I have decided to jump right in!
My oldest (from 1st marriage) will be 16 in March 2012 and we have a 1978 El Camino (4x4) conversion and 2 bobbers (motorcycles) we need a shop for. He and I are total car guys with tech heads to push our plans. Nothing stops us.
I look forward to getting to know you guys and be apart of the fun here!!!
