But you have to sit on CL all day.

No, you do not. I came inside clicked on one bookmark that opens several searches (that I do once or twice a day, sometimes not at all) and there it was, called the guy and went and picked it up, actually quite simple, the only bad part is my car has no AC and it was hot out.

Nice looking box though.

Thank you.

the ac went out in your van?

Yes it did and the timing was perfect now that it's real hot out, Seems to be a common problem from what I read on the internet and it should be covered under the warranty, the problem is taking it back to the same place (I guess I don't have to), I bought by my other place.

Dude, I love that box and it seems in great shape. Vulcan was the first tool truck i was ever on and my personal box is a stack of Vulcans with a Vulcan side box. Shame you are closer cause I'd offer to trade a similar SO box for it.

Congrats

That's a very cool box.

Thanks.

Nice,I saw that box on there.

Probably a little too far for you to drive (maybe not I did see you in Mt. Prospect), but you'd have had to beat me and the hot rod van (without AC).

Thanks, some of my first truck tools were bought from Vulcan back in the early eighties, still have the impacts. I just sold a Vulcan small side box not to long back to a member here. What I'd like to know is if this is the same as a Snap-On box, it looks like it and I know Williams owned Vulcan (not sure when) and we all know Snap-On owns Williams, I'd be curious because it looks very much like my old Snap-On box, I'll know beter when they are sitting next to each other.

More info please

I created bookmarks with all my search terms, tool box, toolbox, tool chest, Snap On, etc. put them in one folder and select "Open all in tabs" in FireFox, takes a few seconds to see what's on craig's list that I'm interested in. I had a much better script that I was using on a Unix OS computer but I'm not using that computer anymore.

Mickey you never cease to amaze me.
Around here all you find a pickup boxes or $X000.00
Looking forward to your next conquest.

We have no shortage of overpriced stuff here, you just have to look, get lucky and move quickly and be willing to drive without AC in my case.

I saw that box and I'm around the corner if it was in Mt. Prospect. I really need to free up some time so I can grab these things for myself.

Enjoy, that is a very cool box.

Im pretty sure that Tractor was for sale here on Craigslist here also, You didnt happen to pay the guy with western union?, And his brother is gonna deliver it next week..:wtf:

Yep, I sent him $6800 via payapl cause he has paypal insurance.

Jk. I thought Mickey would get a kick out of one of the hundreds of these scams in Atl. This after his Snap on box deal for $200 that he was picking up with his trailer. Anyway.. I guess it was not as funny as I thought:lol_hitti

Well at least the terrain and trees look like maybe Atlanta. See those adds all the time here but without palmettos, cabbage palms and pine trees.:lol_hitti

I saved all of my searches from CL as RSS feeds so they just show up in Mail. I can blast right through them and see if something interests me. Plus they show up immediately so I can jump on stuff I like.

Oh yeah.... Nice "new" box

That thing looks brand new form the outside pic.
Nice find!!

It looks really nice, may have been repainted, but done well.

It was in Bartlett, I just referenced Mt. Prospect because that was a long haul for him.

I don't think anyone actually believed I was getting that large Snap-On toolbox full of Snap-On tools for $200 or that anyone was getting it. Those deals just don't happen and if they do you or I will never get them. Now, on that tractor, is that a really good price? I would have no idea. I saw the same one go at auction for about the same price. I would certainly like a tractor. One town south they have a tractor night, you would not believe the stuff there, absolute incredible and your post reminded me of it so I'm going to look it up and see when it is, sweet.

I'll trade you, I'd like a tractor, we had one when I was a kid, I have wanted one for years just don't know where I'd store it but it would be nice to clean my small driveway and cut my lawn.

Why wouldn't you buy an American owned brand of tractor instead of a Japanese company and support America

Didn't know it was a Japanese Tractor, I'd prefer a USA made one but if I could get that Japanese one in trade for my quality USA made toolbox I'd do it.

Not really an issue because I'm not planning on buying a tractor anytime soon. But if I decide to get a tractor I will most certainly check the COO.

Looks just like a SO box.

Vulcan (williams) must have manufactured their boxes in the same plant, Do they still do this?
