Another noteworthy JC Cayer experience...

About a month ago I ordered some 18v Milwaukee stuff, and a handful of Irwin bits from JC Cayer. I'm not sure whether I plain ignored GJ's warnings, or failed to take them seriously enough.

I've had about a month of wrangling now - mostly due to the VERY FIRST missive from them being a curt Quebecois lambast - and today filed a complaint with Visa and the BBB. The latter follows... Mostly I'm just making sure it's part of the GJ record. Canadians, spend your tool money elsewhere!

Inadequate and spiteful communication, poor and inaccurate service quotes, finally an unfilled order and no offer of a refund. JC Cayer's communications are adolescent at best. They've a bone to pick with everyone, it seems. After ten days of silence, I inquired congenially about the status of my order, only to receive a citation regarding their terms and conditions and an order that I review them. After another ten days' silence, I inquired again - now threatening to contact my credit card issuer and the BBB - and was told that my expectations were unreasonable and I should continue waiting. I requested a refund and was denied on account of roughly $15 of my $200 order being non-stock items. So I duly continued waiting, only to be told finally (after another inquiry) that my items would be in JC Cayer's warehouse well after the 10-15 period to which they referred, in their terms and conditions, in their first contact with me. For a third time, I was denied a refund, again on account of 10% of my order being non-stock items. I complained to my CC company and alerted JC Cayer, and was accused of being a "fraudulent customer" and told I would be added to an internet list of such folks.

wow! These guys never stop! Sorry to hear, applesauce. After one email from them, They lost a 2000 dollar order from me when I loaded up with fuel tools.

I've dealt with bc fasteners since then. Excellent service.

I can't believe the people at JC don't consistently have fat lips from getting punched in the mouth all the time.

And how are they still in business?

I ordered protective boots for my fuel impacts and they just showed up today. When the courier pulled up I honestly couldn't think of what he could be dropping off. It had been that long since I placed the order that I had totally forgotten.
