Another old hammer

I forgot about this old hammer: I've had it since the early 1980's. I got it from an old neighbor in MT. One side has a square Made in USA stamp. The other (bottom of the hammer) there is a "S" on one side of the handle, and a "No.760" and a "4".

Can anybody help me identify the manufacturer?
Thanks!
Bob

Thanks RTM - That's quite a catalogue! I didn't see this specific hammer listed, but is the "S" stamp characteristic for Stanley? I've got a smattering of old Stanley tools, none of which have that stamp.

Cheers!

I guess it didn’t link you to page 14, and the 4 # hammer on the left most column under the 760 header?

Updated the link to the right page

RTW - Been off-line a few days - er, yup! looks like I blew right by it! The number matches the hammer all right, but I don't see the horseshoe on the side (its a well used hammer...)

Are they usually stamped with an "S" as well?

Dunno about the S, I don’t collect hammers. They just sort of accumulate, and get used occasionally.
