The first two are old school soldering irons. You'd put the whole thing in the fire to get it hot and then touch it to what you wanted to solder. The heat from the iron heats the part and melts the solder. These were also use for leading in flashings, pipes, etc.

No idea what the 3rd one is

I recognized the tools as soldering irons and the leather tool only as a nameless leather tool so I looked up it up on a couple sites - swivel knife.

A soldering copper (not iron) is a more proper term and commonly used with a blowtorch as pictured above.

Thanks everyone! Mystery solved! Now I can play, "guess what this is" when people stop by and act like I am all knowing!

Until the electric soldering irons were made, this is how most soldering was done, with a pump up blow torch, or a gas heater(think stove top). Wives were not happy when this cluttered up the stove.

My grandfather was an electrician that used a blowtorch and that type of soldering iron when wiring homes.

I still have the irons and blowtorch.

^^^This^^^

I have a few torches, three sizes of soldering irons. And I have gave away quite a few torches that I seriously regret today.
