Yup, I'm going to build a garage, found this blog and it's so good. I've already gotten 50% of my questions answered.

I'm not a builder/contractor/construction guy. No pictures, no drawings, no
"show garage" intentions. I just figured out my budget and am trying to see exactly what fits into it. And it's going to be better spent for being here, I'm sure of that.

Hey Schaeffer, welcome to the GJ. You've got the right idea. Get your budget, go slow and make your plans. I approached it the same way you are with my build that I am just finishing. This place is addicting, but it will be time well spent for you with getting info and helping you plan. I am looking forward to your build thread and seeing pictures. Good luck and happy reading.
