G'Day folks,
Whist many call me Rocket, my real name is Rod.
I run a small Rod & Tool fab shop in Keith, in country South Australia.
I manufacture Metal Shaping Tools which I market through my web site & at swap meets (some may know my mallets which used to be produced by a well known metal shaping American)
I specialise in panel repairs which includes making new ones for both Restorers & Rodders a like, right through to complete Rod Builds (I'm also a TAC delegate who helps with the rego of modified pre 48 cars. That I do for free! I sit on the state committee that over sees this & that works with the rego depatment. just my passion to see well built safe cars being enjoyed by their owners)
We also have or own specialist full size Blasting booth & occasionally carry out other fab work like the stainless railing I'm currentl doing on a local yacht.
(enough of that
)
I have a love for salt lake racing (hopefully to scratch a 3 year itch in 2 weeks, traveling with & a mate who is building a dual Flathead engined streamliner
)
I was intro'd to this place by someone I've recently met who is a member here, sorry Simon, I'm unaware of your log on name.
Though I'm on a couple of forums (including an interest in CAD & CNC stuff) but I don't get to spend much time on them as I'm usually very busy (also though in the family some where) so I'll drop in here from time to time. I believe there is an Oze section, though I'm yet to find it.
There's more to me, but that's enough for now
Cheers all & I'm sure you'll see me chime in from time to time.

I'm doing the stainless railing & a ladder. I was talked into the job (it took the owner 6 months to do so, but there's just no one else in the area to do it
