Another "please identify this floor jack from a crappy CL photo" question

In my quest to find a decent used floor jack I stumbled upon this one:

The seller claims that it came from the estate of his neighbor, who was 83. He also mentioned that the jack is so heavy, he can barely lift it. Asking price is $125 for all items in the photo. I have three questions:

1) What are the chances of this jack being US-made and what make/model could it be?
2) How decent is the asking price? My plan is to sell everything else in the photo if I do get it.
3) If the jack needs a re-build, how much am I looking to spend for a re-build kit?

I think that actually might be an American made jack, but Hiball can tell us for sure.

It looks like a Sears Craftsman Japanese made jack. It's hard to tell from that photo though. If it is, they are a good jack and are rebuildable for not a lot of money.

Ask him the original paint is green/white. The green will be a unique metalic green that I have only seen on Craftsman jacks.

That jack looks like an Old Lincoln.

That jack looks exactly like my Craftsman Japanese made jack. It is a great jack, but I'm not sure it's worth what they are asking. Maybe $100 for all of it would be what I would be willing to pay. I would say it is either from the 60's or early 70's?

Is yours rated for 2 tons? Yes, for a Japanese jack of that vintage the price is indeed a little steep.

That jack looks exactly like my Craftsman Japanese made jack. It is a great jack, but I'm not sure it's worth what they are asking. Maybe $100 for all of it would be what I would be willing to pay. I would say it is either from the 60's or early 70's?

I agree that it looks like a jack from Sears back in the late 60's. I bought one back then and still have it. It works fine and has never leaked a drop which is more than I can say for the 2-ton Snap-on (Lincoln) jack that I had.

Yes, 2 ton and Japanese. I agree, it is a very stout jack. It has never let me down.
