Another Racedeck Floor!!! More Photos!

Just a regular 2 car garage that needed some sprucing up... Got tired of the roll up vinyl mats in the garage and decided to do it right. Tiles went in super easy. I'm about half way done and hope to finish up this week. I forgot to take some before pictures. I'll see if I have some and post them up too. Will post more pictures when done too!

New pictures added!

Nice job and gives me some inspiration for a new 3 car in a home we're closing on next week. I like your wall paint as well. Is the stripe vinyl tape or painted on?

CB804, nice floor and wall.
It looks like what I'm trying to achieve with my garage. What made you decide on race deck for your floor? As it looks like your cement was in good condition.
Also, being in the Chicago area, (snow, salt, etc) why did you not go with the flo thru tiles.
I'm trying to make up my mind and like your floor.

I am not CB804 so I can't answer for him but my garage floor was brand new, poured only 2 weeks earlier when I put down my Racedeck, I wanted the look and warmth of the tiles when I am in the garage barefoot. When I work on the car, I am properly dressed with proper shoes but if I am just out there reloading or cleaning guns, I "might be" comfortably dressed.

I also didn't go with Freeflow because I woodwork in the garage and didnt want large amounts of sawdust under the tiles and of course small nuts and bolts that will fall in the freeflow. But I have no snow or salt (or rain in the last few years for that matter) to worry about, having had this Racedeck for 15 or so years now, even in the snow/salt I would have the solid tiles I think.

I wanted something I could do myself. Did not feel comfortable doing epoxy. The home/garage is about 15 years old and yes the concrete was in good shape but I also wanted a geometric pattern on the floor so tiles it was.

Yes being in Chicago we get rain and snow and I've lived with small puddles on the garage floor and small puddles on the Racedeck is ok with me. As far as the freeflow tiles, I just don't like how they look and if you ever drop a bolt or nut on the floor it's going to be frustrating.

A quick pass of a push broom is all I have ever used to get water/snow off the floor. Easy choice for me.

The floor looks great! It really is amazing how different the floor looks once the tiles are down compared to what it looks like before you put down the tiles.
