Okay, so hopefully I will have my tube heater installed by the end of the month. My question I am presenting is this: at what time of year do I turn this thing on? I saw in a previous post (can't find it now, naturally) to turn it on and warm the concrete before it gets too cold out. This year is too late but what about for next season?

Easy. When you get cold.

What you read was probably about the hot water in floor systems.

I just turn mine on a couple of hours before I'm going to work in the garage because I don't have the insulation in the ceiling yet. Once I get the insulation in, I'll leave it on overnight with the thermostat set at about 35 degrees so things won't freeze, and kick it up when I'm ready to do some work.
