Nice little 2 speed 26" Maxxair to keep the air flow in the garage down here during these hot FL months. No refurb on this one...me and daughter took it apart for a good thorough cleaning and put it back together. Its a little noisy but not as bad as the real big ones ive seen.

why were they throwing it away ?

It was too loud for one shop, so another took it. Too loud for them also...so they were going to scrap it. I was at the right place at the right time because I've had my eyes on that fan for a long time. Mechanically, its not noisy, its the large amount of air that it moves is whats loud. Cleaned up nice too

Most of time it's cheaper to get ride of something rather than storing it. If you think of the expense of a building lease as cost per square foot, and your income as sales per square foot. If you reduce your cost with better use of storage or less storage, less square footage, you increase your profit per square foot. Excess storage is square footage that's not making money.

Looks like you will be working cool this summer!! A good fan is really all you need to stay cool.

Chris

Absolutely! I'm creating a problem with all these cool things i've been bringing home lately. I don't have enough power outlets in the garage, and I'm not a big fan of using power strips...but I do cautiously

Get those packing peanuts out of there and it might get a bit quieter!

Yea that was the first thing to happen. We took it all apart and cleaned it.

Your right about that! Low speed has proven more than plenty so far out in the garage.
