I have read a lot of these screwdriver threads. I have the black handled Williams set, the Williams ratcheting drivers, a set of Felo woodies, the Wera insulated, some Vessels and many nice older Stanley acetate, SK, etc and they each have their own attributes BUT for limited use and feel in the hand, I have yet to see them ever mentioned..... I really like the.....

Harbor Freight four-in-one $1.99 or better yet.... the free ones they give out! :)

For anyone interested, SK is offering 20% off their screwdrivers on their absolutely ridiculously priced website.

I use Klein for work, which I love. They never see any grease or oil.
I have a set of the hard handle Williams, took me a little while to get used to the square handle, but I'm getting to like them more and more. I also have a older set of the USA made Stanley 100 plus, they still make these, just not USA made anymore. You can still find some old stock USA made ones on Ebay

The PB Swiss hollow ground slotted are the best carburetor jet screwdrivers out there. Wera hollow ground are similar but harder to find. Their chamfered/relieved edges allow insertion into deep recesses without damaging the surrounding material. Like firearms screws, carburetor jets have very precisely machined slots so they are great candidates these types of drivers. But for just knocking around the house/garage PBS isn't my first choice.

I have Snap On and Williams hard handle sets. The square handle looks and feels great in hand, until it's used to back out screws that are already loose. That's when I appreciate my trusty Craftsman clear handles.

There have been countless screwdriver threads on GJ, and people express their opinions from all kinds of perspectives. In reality, even the cheap set from Lowes/HomeDepot/Harbor Freight would work just fine and last a life time.

I have a regular use for hollow ground parallel tips as I play amateur gun plumber, and all my good guns have precision slotted screws.

You can buy a 100% serviceable set of hollow ground precision hex drive tips from Midway or Brownells for maybe $60. They work great and you can really match the screws' geometry both in driver tip thickness AND width.

Real gunsmiths match the tip width to the slot and then will grind a wider tip to the exact width of the screw slot to ensure they don't damage the blued, fitted, and indexed screw.

All this to say, for the precision need of hollow ground tips, you can get there with interchangeable tips a lot easier and cheaper than the PB Swiss route.

Back under the hood of my car or around the house or boat Vessel JIS/Phillips and Williams get it done. Or whatever else might be close by.
