Been wrenching out of necessity and enjoyment all my life. I've become a "last resort" mechanic to relatives, friends and friends of friends who can't afford to have their vehicle repaired or who have taken their vehicle to a shop and it still isn't fixed. Most of the work I do is done for free (plus parts). I plan on retiring next month and building a two or three bay garage in 2014. I came across this site while looking for reviews on lifts. Looks like there's lots of good info here and I'm anxious to read what's here, but right now I need to go diagnose a friend of a friend's Volvo.
