Another Snap-On box ID

Picked this up for $40. Any idea on year/model? I'd like a picture of how the nameplate on front should look, as well as where I can find year/model on it.

All of the Snap-On boxes I've gotten have a series of numbers stamped into the back. Sometimes it's hard to find under the scum and corruption, but it should be there. Model number and a serial number which can be decoded for born-on-date/.

Dang, nice box for $40 Wait you are talking just the dark red top box, not all the boxes in the pic right?

Yea as 930 linked it looks like a 40's-50's KR-56. I don't recall which came first the sqaure badge or the slanted square badge. I want to say the square badge like yours but am not positive on that. Me things your box is from the late 40's to very early 50's time frame. It was definitely made 1947-1957, just where in there I am not sure. Sweet box at a great deal. YOU do indeed ****

The older ones are actually stamped with the model number and last two digits of the year it was made ex 19XX, ** would represent numbers stamped on the back. Now the REALLY old (pre mid 1940's I want to say) ones had no stamping on them what so ever. BTW welcome to GJ
