Another Snap On mid-rise lift question

Hey guys. Been lurking here and love this site. Got tired of working with crappy tools and decided to do up my garage right.

I'm about to buy a used 6500lb capacity snap on / wheeltronic scissor lift. I've used the search and google and know they are highly regarded here, which was a big factor for me.

Those of you who have one:

1. What is the minimum (collapsed) height? I'd like to be able to park a vehicle over it. The work bay of my garage has a E46 BMW M3 in it when I'm not working on something. That has only 5.1" of ground clearance. Is this feasible?

2. This is an "open table" lift. Has anyone made a table to put on the lift so it can serve double-duty as a motorcycle lift? Does this seem reasonable? I imagine a few square tubing cross braces with a fairly thin steel plate on the top.

3. Will it safely pick up my 5300 lb F150? I know it says 6500 lb capacity and that *should* be very conservative for a safety factor. But still...

Any advice for me? Never had a lift before! Don't want to die...

Thanks,

Jim
