I know this has probably been brought up before, but I couldn't find anything about it so hopefully you guys can chime in.
I have assembled a set of 1/4 deep sockets from SO. This set is old and is getting worn out! Some have a little rust, some have dents, most have scratches and the drive ends on a few have deformed a little from using them with breaker bars. They were not abused, but they are definitely used.
Anyway, 8 or so of them have chips through the chrome and over the years the chips have grown. It isn't like the chrome is flaking off, but the chips (esp those on the hex end) have definitely grown. So this brings up two questions.
1. Is this something covered by the SO warranty?
2. If I send in a tool that I think should be covered under warranty and they disagree will they send me my tool back or am I S.O.L?
(p.s. no dealer in my area for 3 years so it would have to be shipped in to SO)
